April 14, 2019

The Masters purse is a record-high this year, meaning that the winner of the event will win a record share of more than $2 million.

The first major of the year introduced a record $11.5 million purse for this year, making it the second-biggest purse of the PGA Tour season at the moment. Stay tuned to see if the U.S. Open ups the ante. That means that for the first time, the winner’s share will be greater than $2 million. Sorry, Patrick Reed, your $1.98 million just wasn’t enough.

The top finisher will actually net $2.07 million this year, with second place taking home a disappointing $1.242 million. Way down in 50th, you’ll find the payouts drop to $28,980. With 65 players making the cut, that means slightly more than the initial $11.5 million will be doled out. For professionals finishing beyond 50th, the payout will decrease from $28,290.

Check out the full payout structure below.
