April 14, 2019

Masters Sunday is upon us, and in less than 24 hours we’ll have a newly crowned Masters champion. Who will it be? If you like to pay attention to the betting favorite, Golfodds.com pegs Molinari as the man with the best Masters odds, listing him at 7/4 heading into the final round. That’s a huge gain from his initial listing of 20/1 before the tournament began.

Molinari will be playing in the final group with Tiger Woods and Tony Finau. Woods and Finau trail Molinari’s lead by two shots. Tiger started the week with 14/1 odds and is now listed at 3/1 with one round to play. Finau was originally a 35/1 longshot, but is now at 13/2.

Interestingly, three-time major champion Brooks Koepka was far from the favorite at the beginning of the week, with 25/1 odds. He’s now 6/1. Koepka will play in the penultimate group on Sunday morning and has three shots to make up.

Rory McIlory (7/1), Dustin Johnson (10/1) and Justin Rose (12/1) were the top betting favorites before the tournament began. McIlroy is currently 12 shots back at one under par while DJ is still within striking distance at four shots back and eight under overall. McIlory’s odds have dropped significantly over the last three days. He’s now 25/1 as a member of “the field,” while DJ is 25/1 on his own. Justin Rose unfortunately missed the cut.
