This week’s Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., is the final PGA Tour stop before the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The Wyndham Championship purse is set at $6 million. While that’s not as high as the prize money at the recent WGC-Bridgestone and PGA Championship, it’s still a whole lot of cash.
First place brings home $1.08 million, and the runner-up still earns a huge check for $648,000. Third place gets $408,000, and rounding out the top five is $288,000 for fourth and $240,000 for fifth.
