Bubba Watson Serves Mac and Cheese at Masters Champions Dinner

April 7, 2015

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

As the current Masters champion, Bubba Watson gets to choose the menu for the annual Champion Dinner, and this year he’s serving grilled chicken with mac and cheese, just like he did in 2013, the last time Watson picked the menu.

Watson shared the menu he chose for his green-jacketed peers at his press conference on Tuesday: Caesar salad, grilled chicken breast, green beans, mashed potatoes, corn, macaroni and cheese, and cornbread. Dessert will be confetti cake and vanilla ice cream.

That Watson enjoys comfort food should be no surprise since he famously celebrated his Masters win last year with a late-night visit to Waffle House.

The annual dinner for former champions is Tuesday night in the Augusta National clubhouse before the Masters Tournament, which starts on Thursday. The tradition began in at the 1952 Masters, when 1951 champion Ben Hogan hosted a dinner for previous winners.
