Rickie Fowler celebrates 30th birthday with Justin Thomas, Michelle Wie, more

December 13, 2018

Rickie Fowler is a young gun no more. The four-time PGA Tour champion turns 30 years old today, and he celebrated the occasion in style with fiancee Allison Stokke, LPGA star Michelle Wie and fellow PGA Tour pro Justin Thomas, among others.

Last night, Fowler gathered his best golf buddies in Florida for an evening cruise with music and dancing. Based on social media posts popping up, the group of pro golf stars found a way to have a grand old time on the boat.

Wie was dancing the night away in one Instagram story:

She also posted a couple of photos of herself with Thomas and the birthday boy.

2016 U.S. Olympic diver Sam Dorman also got in on the action.

Thursday morning, Thomas posted a heartfelt message to Rickie on Instagram, writing, in part, “Happy 30th to one of the best people in the world I know, slick @rickiefowler!” The post included a photo of the crew from the birthday party, as well as several photos of Rickie and JT from their time playing against each other on Tour.

The evening featured many of the usual suspects from the #SB2K crew, the group vacation Rickie, Spieth, JT and several other Tour pros take each year in the spring. However, Fowler’s party seemed to be a whole lot tamer than those get-togethers, perhaps more fitting his new age. While Fowler is good friends with the likes of JT, Spieth and the rest of their age group, he’s actually a solid five years older than any of them.

Fowler has a big year ahead of him. He recently got engaged to Stokke, and there’s a good chance the pair tie the knot before Rickie’s next birthday. Stokke also posted a birthday message for Rickie on Instagram:

This past season, Fowler was unable to capture a victory, but he did finish runner-up twice. He accumulated six top 10s, and only missed three cuts out of the 20 tournaments he played. The next step for Rickie is no mystery: winning his first major championship.
