Golf apparel has been undergoing a welcome evolution in recent years.

The rapid rise of “athleisure” has made comfortable, casual and performance-minded apparel more popular than ever before. Gym-ready attire like drawstring shorts, joggers and stretchy hoodies are now golf wardrobe staples. The benefit is twofold: not only is golf more accessible than ever in terms of what is deemed appropriate apparel, the movement is also a boon for the consumer, who now can buy pieces that pull double duty for wear both on and off the course. 

One fast-rising brand that is capitalizing on this development in a big way is UNRL. Pronounced “unreal,” the brand got its start in 2013 in founder and CEO Michael E. Jordan’s mother’s basement when he was just a teenager.
