Brooks Koepka is coming back to the PGA Tour, and the news of his return appears to have resulted in a surge of interest in his signature Nike golf shoe, the Nike Infinity Tour 2 “Brooks Koepka.”

The special-edition shoe was released last year and is nearly sold out at Fairway Jockey, but if you act fast, you can snag one of the last available pairs.

What kind of technology can you expect in this model? The shoe features standard Nike Infinity Tour 2 specs, like ultra-comfy low-profile Air Zoom cushioning, Nike’s lightweight “Flyweave” upper (which incorporates “stretch skin” material to help repel water and make cleaning easier), a padded collar, and two additional integrated forefoot spikes for enhanced grip.

There are also a number of details that pay tribute to Koepka’s son, Crew, like a removable “Flight Crew” keychain. The red, white and blue color palette and out-of-this-world theme was inspired by Crew’s space-themed bedroom and love for the stars.

On Wednesday, the star-studded pro-am at The Annika was the place to be. Caitlin Clark was teeing it up for the second straight year — and had Indiana Fever teammates Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull caddying for her — and Kai Trump, the President’s granddaughter, was also on the course, having secured a sponsor’s exemption for the week.

And then there was Nelly Korda, with whom Clark was paired. That power group had a massive following all day — which was also great advertising for Korda’s new kicks.

The two-time major champ debuted her new Nike golf shoes Wednesday — the Nike Free Golf “Nelly Korda” — and talked about the inspiration for them after her round. The shoes are white with red and yellow features (symbolic of a Leo, Korda’s zodiac sign), including the Nike swooshes.

Although the most unique part of her shoes might be what’s dangling off the outside of each heel: golden charms of special significance to Korda, including a smiley face, tennis racket and Nike swooshes.

Korda’s parents were tennis stars, and her brother, Sebastian, is also a pro tennis player, so the sport has been a big part of her life. She wanted to make sure it was represented in her shoe.

“When I was growing up I had so many amazing role models but they were in tennis,” Korda said Wednesday. “They all wore Nike. They all had their kits. At grand slams Maria Sharapova came out in her dress kit. You had Roger Federer, Nadal. We watched tennis a lot in our household, so I had tennis players as role models. My dream at that point was I want to be a Nike athlete. That’s now you know you made it, you are a Nike athlete. All the greats were wearing Nike. So that to me is like a really pinch-me moment that I was able to sit down with a design team and go through what means the most me in my life, family, tennis, golf, whatever. Those are what play a part in the charms.

“And then the Leo energy because I am inspired by lions. I love lions. There is just so much that I pull from that to myself,” she continued. “But I think that’s like the coolest thing about what we do, is like the girls in the crowd right now, they’re looking up to all of us. We’re their role models. They could be dreaming of being a Nike athlete and doing what I’m doing right now. It’s really cool to see, and it’s probably the best part of what we do, is kind of inspiring the next generation, hoping that they love the game of golf or the sport that we love as much as we do.”

Korda also gifted a pair of her signature shoes to Clark, joking they are “guaranteed” to make her play better.

While Clark has her pair, you will have to wait a little longer. The Nike Free Golf “Nelly Korda” goes on sale on Nov. 20 for $155. You can sign up to get notified of the drop here.

“If you told me this, I don’t know, 10 years ago when I was in the crowds that I would have my own shoe and be here playing in front of everyone and inspiring the next generation I would tell you you’re crazy,” Korda said. “It’s been a lot of fun.”

The Justin Timberlake x Nike “Raggio Di Sole” (Italian for “ray of sunshine”) golf shoes were handcrafted in Montebelluna, Italy, and are based on the existing Nike Victory Tour 4 model. The aim of the design? Take a super-traditional golf shoe and give it a sneaker vibe. While brainstorming design ideas for the collab, Timberlake says he was inspired by a experience he had in Tuscany, getting up at daybreak, playing nine holes, and being blown away by the incredible colors of the sunrise. The shoe’s accents reflect that shade of reddish orange, while the subtle outer color was achieved by dipping the shoe in coffee, giving it a modern and wearable hue.

The shoes are made with a luxurious mix of materials, including both tumbled leather and smooth leather, velvety suede and cork insoles. There are also some fun, Easter-egg details, like coffee-mug rings on the soles, Timberlake’s signature on the tongue, and a debossed Montebelluna emblem on the heel. Each pair also comes in specially-designed packaging.

In a nod to Timberlake’s birth year, only 1,981 pairs of the shoes have been produced, so if you want to snag a pair, you’re going to have to act fast. The shoes will be available for purchase on May 1 on Nike’s sneaker app and at Fairway Jockey.

In the world of golf fashion, there is a short list of pros whom you could describe as particularly sartorially savvy.

Tiger Woods, once synonymous with Nike, and now wearing his own brand, Sun Day Red, and Adam Scott, who has worn Uniqlo since 2013, have always been polished and traditional on the course, wearing mostly well-tailored earth tones and flattering neutrals.

Billy Horschel, a longtime Ralph Lauren partner, has taken a few risks over the course of his career — remember the famous octopus pants? — but has made a name for himself as a fashionable player by mixing conservative staples and trendy colors and prints with aplomb.

In recent years, Rory McIlroy has made huge gains in on-course style. Part of that is simply McIlroy growing up. It’s easy to forget that he was just 18 years old when he turned pro in 2007. Now, he’s 35, a husband and a father, and his apparel has matured along with him.

Nike, the brand McIlroy has worn since 2013, famously does not share sponsorship when it comes to apparel, and Nike athletes sport the swoosh from head to toe. This stipulation alone elevates the outfits; they’re clean, never fussy, never busy. McIlroy has also embraced more youthful trends and silhouettes that other golfers on the brand’s roster don’t, like European, slim-fit tailoring.

As I watched the opening round at Pinehurst No. 2 on Thursday, McIlroy was the clear winner of Round 1’s fashion award. His look is simple, but it offers some worthwhile lessons for golf dressing:

1. Matching hat and shoes

A white hat and white shoe combo remains undefeated. Follow that template, and you can wear pretty much whatever you want in between. You’ll still look put together.

2. Bold solids are winners

McIlroy’s polo absolutely popped off the screen. The color — an orangey-melon — is highly visible without being too bright. The fit is great — snug not tight, with a sleeve length just a cut above the elbow. I love the pairing with navy pants — it adds a youthfulness to the ensemble that would have been lost with black, gray or khaki. Also, the slim, tapered fit of the pants looks athletic and nicely tailored, flattering McIlroy’s body type.

3. Belts matter!

McIlroy’s braided belt is trendy and cool but it’s not the focal point of this outfit. Instead, it blends seamlessly with the pants, but adds some cool texture and depth close-up. Stretchy, woven belt styles generally look great with performance fabrics, and this one is no exception.
