U.S. Open live coverage: How to watch the 2023 U.S. Open on Thursday

The 2023 U.S. Open finally gets underway Thursday morning, June 15, with the opening round at Los Angeles Country Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 of the U.S. Open on TV or online.

Previewing U.S. Open Round 1

Somehow Jon Rahm has something left to prove this week in Los Angeles. The 2021 U.S. Open champion backed up that win earlier this year with a triumph at the Masters to capture his first green jacket.

A glitzy U.S. Open arrives with a simple question: Who’s gonna win?

But Rahm has since fallen from the No. 1 ranking, watching Scottie Scheffler, this week’s betting favorite, overtake him with a string of strong starts. But by securing a second U.S. Open title this week, Rahm would take the top ranking back and put an exclamation point on the best season by any male golfer in ages.

Rahm will get his opening round started on Thursday at 11:24 a.m. ET alongside two other expected contenders: Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland. Peacock kicks off the action with exclusive steaming coverage at 9:40 am. ET. USA begins the TV coverage at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the NBC Round 1 telecast at 8 p.m. ET.
