Dustin Johnson held a four-stroke lead after 54 holes of the 2020 Masters, meaning he’s 18 holes (and one more strong round) away from cashing in on a major payday.
The total purse for the 2020 Masters is $11.5 million, which is the same as it was last year, when Tiger Woods took home $2.07 million for first. The runner-up prize money remains the same as well, at $1.242 million.
This is the third major of the season with a different total purse. The 2020 PGA Championship at TPC Harding Park had a purse of $11 million (Collin Morikawa took home $1.98 million), and the U.S. Open at Winged Foot handed out $12.5 million (Bryson DeChambeau grabbed $2.25 million for first).
