When Joaquin Niemann won his third LIV Golf title in six events on Sunday, he and his entourage had a unique place to gather for a celebratory toast thanks to a newly-launched concept at Mexico’s Club de Golf Chapultepec: LIV Golf’s Mexico City Team Villas.
The 600-square-foot Villas are individually branded and were designed to be a designated private space for players to host their families and friends, meet with current and potential sponsors and partners, conduct team meetings and film content. Together, the Villas form a rectangle, with 8,000 square feet of shared open courtyard space between them, as well as a fully catered restaurant and a boutique barista.
“The Team Villas in Mexico City are awesome,” said HyFlyers GC captain Phil Mickelson. “It is another example of how LIV Golf is prioritizing the player experience. It is innovative and definitely a terrific environment for our team, brand partners, team staff, and families.”
Dustin Johnson, captain of LIV Golf’s 4Aces, concurred.
“The Team Villas in Mexico City have been a really cool addition this week,” he said. “It’s a great spot for us to meet, have meals, and just hang out with the team during the week. Everything’s really well set up — it’s private, it’s comfortable, and it shows how LIV supports what we need to be at our best. Makes it easy for us to just focus on playing and competing.”
