Featured grouping for Wells Fargo Championship Round 1
Unlike many PGA Tour events, there’s one clear star attraction at this week’s Wells Fargo Championship. That player is defending champion and World No. 7 Rory McIlroy. Rory is far-and-away the betting favorite to win the title, and if he does it will be the fourth Wells Fargo win of his career.
But Rory won’t be alone. Joining him in the field are Abraham Ancer, Tony Finau, Rickie Fowler and Patrick Reed, to name a few.
McIlroy will tee off for the opening round at 7:34 a.m. ET on Thursday morning, and he’ll play alongside Webb Simpson and Francesco Molinari. You can stream Thursday’s first round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+.
