Beau Hossler first rose to fame all the way back in 2012, when as a 17-year-old he not only made the cut at the U.S. Open at Olympic, but contended for the win. He eventually finished T29, and ever since he’s been working his way through the pro ranks onto the PGA Tour full-time.

Hossler has yet to capture a victory on Tour, but he’s making a run for it early at the RSM Classic. The 27-year-old made three early birdies on the Seaside Course in the opening round to place himself near the top of the leaderboard.
After teeing off early on Thursday, Hossler will have a slightly later starting time for Friday’s second round, teeing off at 10 a.m. ET on the Plantation Course alongside Kevin Tway and Callum Tarren.
