What you need to know for Wyndham Championship Round 2
A lot has changed in Will Zalatoris’ life over the past year, as he went from unknown to household name. The 24-year-old burst onto the world stage at the 2020 U.S. Open in September, where he contended for the win and finished T6. Special temporary PGA Tour status followed, which allowed him to collect seven more top-10 finishes, including a solo 2nd at the Masters and a T8 at the PGA Championship.
Despite all of that, Zalatoris can’t qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs since he’s not a full Tour member. That is unless he wins the Wyndham this week. So far, he’s off to a solid start. Zalatoris fired a two-under 68 in Thursday’s opening round, putting him within striking distance of the lead.
To set himself up for the weekend, he’ll need another strong round on Friday. Zalatoris tees off for the second round at 12:15 p.m. ET alongside Camilo Villegas and Sam Ryder. View the complete second round tee times for the Wyndham Championship below.
