The 2021 Masters is set to begin Thursday at Augusta National. You can find full first round Masters tee times at the bottom of this post.
Notable groupings for Masters Round 1
Golf fans have an embarrassment of riches to choose from this week at the 2021 Masters, but many eyes will be on a former champion come Thursday: Jordan Spieth. Spieth, who won his green jacket in 2015, is something of a Masters master, finishing T2-1-T2 in his first three appearances at Augusta National.
Better yet, Spieth ended a yearslong win drought last Sunday at the Texas Open, and has played great all year, which means this week presents a great opportunity for the experienced Texan to win major No. 4. For Thursday’s opening round, Spieth will tee off in the final group of the day at 2:00 p.m. ET alongside reigning PGA Champion Collin Morikawa and Cameron Smith.
But Spieth has plenty of competitors to worry about, especially a much, much more recent Masters champion in Dustin Johnson. The top-ranked golfer had zero green jackets six months ago, and now he has a golden opportunity to win his second. DJ appears on the opposite side of the timesheet as Spieth on Thursday, teeing off at 10:30 a.m. ET with Lee Westwood and amateur Tyler Strafaci.
Other notable groupings for the opening round include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele (10:42 a.m. ET); Bryson DeChambeau, Adam Scott, and Max Homa (1:36 p.m. ET); Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and Louis Oosthuizen (1:48 p.m. ET); Phil Mickelson, Tommy Fleetwood and Scottie Scheffler (1:12 p.m. ET); and Bubba Watson, Brooks Koepka and Viktor Hovland (10:06 a.m. ET).
