Dinner is served on Tuesday night for the greatest champions in golf. The annual Masters Champions Dinner is held every Tuesday of Masters week and brings the past champions together for a night of camaraderie, laughter and, most importantly — really good food.
As is tradition, the winner of the previous Masters picks the menu. Sometimes it’s a nod to their home country, maybe their state or perhaps their favorite childhood dish. Either way, it’s completely up to them.
Dustin Johnson, the 2020 Masters winner, recently unveiled his dinner, which will be served on Tuesday night. Here’s what he has planned:
Appetizer: Pigs in a Blanket and Lobster & Corn Fritters
Salad: garden salad or caesar salad
Entree: prime filet mignon or miso-marinated sea bass
Sides: mashed potatoes and spring vegetables
Dessert: peach cobble and apple pie with vanilla ice cream
To drink: 2016 Lucien le Moine, Montmains Chablis / 1998 Chateau Lynch Bages, Pauillac
Not bad, right? Speaking of Masters Champions Dinners menus, we recently asked a golf club chef to pick his favorite composite menu from all the previous dinners. Here’s what he came up with.
