The stage is set for a heart-pounding Sunday afternoon at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Golf’s return after a three-month layoff features a loaded leaderboard heading into the final round at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Xander Schauffele is at the front of the pack, all alone in the lead at 13 under.

But Jordan Spieth is hot on Schauffele’s tail. The former World No. 1 trails Schauffele by a stroke heading into Sunday after posting three straight rounds in the 60s to open the weekend. Spieth, who is the all-time scoring average leader at Colonial Country Club, is seeking his first professional win since 2017. Spieth, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa and Gary Woodland all head into Sunday at 12 under, a stroke back of Schauffele.

Also lurking closely behind are Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, Harold Varner III and Patrick Reed. McIlroy and DeChambeau form one of Sunday’s most intriguing pairings. They, along with the rest of the leaders, will tee off shortly after noon ET.
