One thing to buy this week: New Balance Fresh Foam Links golf shoes

Welcome to a new GOLF.com column, where we’ll highlight one notable item that you might consider buying. Whether it’s an article of clothing, an intriguing electronic device, a piece of equipment designed to increase golf’s enjoyment factor — or anything in between — we want to share these items with you simply because they’ve generated a bit of chatter by our water cooler (or on our Slack channel these days). So sit back, scroll down and keep up with the latest gear golf has to offer.

For some reason I always associate this type of New Balance silhouette with fall. I guess they were always a go-to back to school shoe growing up, so the time of year always kicks up feelings of nostalgia. It wasn’t until recently that I became aware of the golf version of these classics. We’ve recently seen many brands reinvigorate their best-selling sneaker silhouettes into functional golf shoes. It’s not surprising that New Balance is in the mix too!

They’re the perfect shoe to wear to and from the course with a pair of khakis (if that’s your vibe), or some cool joggers if you’re comfortable with a more causal on-course look. We especially love the red, white and blue version linked below.
