Hudson Swafford went more than three years between wins on the PGA Tour — dating back to his maiden title at the 2017 CareerBuilder Challenge — but his tools didn’t change much during that time. Trust is invaluable during pressure situations, which is exactly what Swafford found himself in on the par-3 17th hole during the final round of the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship.

In need of some magic after squandering a four-shot lead, Swafford pulled a Ping S55 6-iron from the bag and knocked the shot to 7 feet before calmly pouring in the birdie putt with a TaylorMade Spider X Chalk putter. The cavity-back 6-iron just happened to be in the bag during Swafford’s last win in Palm Springs.

“It was like the shot at 17 at PGA West when I won,” said Swafford, who grabbed a one-shot lead with the birdie on 17. “I was like man, you gotta step up, and I hit a good, flighted 6-iron. I’ve done it 100,000 times. I love hitting that golf shot, and man, it was a good one and an even better putt.”

Along with the S55 irons, the i25 3-wood and 5-wood were carryovers from Swafford’s 2017 victory. Check out the two-time Tour winner’s entire equipment setup below.
