Outside of the actual return of the man himself, this might be the next-best thing for you, dear Tiger Woods fan, to warm your Tiger Woods-loving soul:
A Tiger Woods fist-pumping sweater.
Believe it. While the 15-time major champion rehabs from injuries suffered in a car crash at the end of February, Nike has released three Woods-themed items. Among them, a dark gray heather sweater, adorned on the front by an image of his fist pump after winning the 2005 Masters. The image isn’t small, either — it stretches from the chest down to the navel.
“The Tiger Woods crew puts a playful twist on a cozy classic,” the Nike website says. “Tiger Woods’ iconic fist pump is brought to life on soft, sweater-knit fabric so you can celebrate TW’s incredible accomplishments in complete comfort.”
The sweater, which can be purchased only through signing up for a free Nike membership, is $110, and if other Woods merchandise is any indication, it will sell quickly. At the 2019 Masters, Woods wore a “Frank the Headcover” polo, and Nike soon sold out of shirts and hats with the logo.
In addition to the sweater, Nike also released a polo and a jacket, with a smaller version of the logo sitting above the heart on each. The polo is available in red, with darker red stripes, and white, with gray stripes, and it’s $75.
“This isn’t your average polo — it’s the Nike Polo Tiger Woods,” the Nike website says. “From its innovative, sweat-wicking fabric to the hints of orange that nod to Nike’s original shoebox, every detail has been thoughtfully crafted to meet the needs of the everyday you. This product is made with 100 percent sustainable materials, using a blend of both recycled polyester and organic cotton fibers. The blend is at least 10 percent recycled fibers or at least 10 percent organic cotton fibers.”
The jacket is available in both black and khaki and is $125.
