Golf fans waiting all winter for the 2024 Masters to begin will have to wait a little bit longer to watch the action. On Thursday morning, first-round Masters tee times were pushed back due to inclement weather.

The forecast for Thursday’s opening round never looked good heading into Masters week. Many expected thunderstorms to roll through Augusta National and force a delayed start, and they were right.

On Thursday morning at 5:00 a.m. ET, Augusta National first announced that they were monitoring the weather, and that gate openings and tee times had been delayed “until further notice.” The only other detail they provided was that the opening round would not begin before 9 a.m. ET.

With the first grouping originally scheduled to go out at 8 a.m. ET, that meant there would at least be a one-hour delay to start the round.

Tournament officials provided another update just before 8 a.m. ET Thursday morning, announcing that the first round would finally begin at 10:30 a.m. ET, with the Honorary Starters teeing off at 10:10 a.m. ET.

The featured grouping of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffele will now tee off at 1:12 p.m. ET. Tiger Woods’ new tee time is 3:54 p.m. ET.

You can view the complete updated Masters tee times for Thursday’s first round below.
