Here is our obligatory PSA for you, golf fans. You — yes, you! — can play Royal Liverpool Golf Club, host of this week’s Open Championship and GOLF’s 79th best course in the world (and the 27th-best in the U.K. and Ireland).

That’s the beauty of many top overseas courses: even if they are private, they still allow some public tee times. Don’t plan on Augusta National opening its doors to you anytime soon.

The course, located in Hoylake, England, is closed for the rest of the month (you know, to clean up after a golf major), but there are still tee times available for 2023.

A quick search of the Royal Liverpool website shows almost zero options through September, but there are some times available in October.

Greens fees for singles that month are £215 (about $276), otherwise £860 ($1,100) to book for your entire foursome. For juniors playing with an adult during the weekday, it’s just £75 ($96).

If October doesn’t work for you, there are also options for 2024 beginning in the spring, usually around March or April. Tee times for those months aren’t available online yet, but a single tee time between March and September this year was £265 ($340). And if you want a caddie, it’s £50.00 ($64).

Before you go, be aware of the dress code, and know you should have a handicap (and be able to handle a course like this). Also remember it’s unlikely you’ll be able to snag a weekend tee time, as those slots are usually reserved for members.
