Muirfield Village Golf Club is as resourceful as it is renowned.

Last week, the course in Dublin, Ohio, hosted the Workday Charity Open, the PGA Tour’s replacement tournament for the John Deere Classic after it was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. This week, it grew out its rough, sped up its greens and hosted the Memorial Tournament, the event it’s hosted annually since 1976. Over the next year, it will undergo a redesign, one of several it has undergone since opening in 1974, and be ready for next year’s Memorial.

In a year’s time, three tournaments at Muirfield Village. Three different feels. All while still staying true to its roots, which has earned it accolades as No. 85 in GOLF’s Top 100 Courses in the World.

“I think all golf courses are in continual evolution. I do,” Jack Nicklaus told PGA Tour.com. “Muirfield Village has been that way. You see something that can make it better and you go do it. But Muirfield Village is intrinsically the same golf course. You could go through the golf course and compare what it was when it opened and where it is today and you’d think the difference was night and day. But done over time, you don’t notice it.”
