As the 2024 PGA Championship heads to what is sure to be a thrilling finish at Valhalla, fans can start already looking ahead to next year’s venue.

The 2025 PGA Championship will take place at the same course the PGA Tour played just a week ago: Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, the traditional host of the Wells Fargo Championship.

Of course, we still have a few more majors to get to, including next month’s trip to Pinehurst No. 2 for the U.S. Open, a date with Royal Troon in July for the Open Championship and finally a return to Augusta next April for the 2025 Masters.

But in case you’d like to see the next eight sites for this week’s major, the current list is below. The next open year on the schedule is 2032, which PGA Chief Championships Officer Kerry Haigh said they do not yet have a timeline for filling.

2025: Quail Hollow Club — Charlotte, North Carolina

Justin Thomas loved this year’s host, Valhalla, near where he grew up in Kentucky. But he’ll also love the 2025 host, Quail Hollow, as it was where he won his first major championship back in 2017. Thomas also featured in the 2022 Presidents Cup victory by the United States there just last year. A handful of Tour pros call Quail Hollow home, notably Webb Simpson and Mackenzie Hughes. Rory McIlroy essentially calls it home too, having now won four times there.

2026: Aronimink Golf Club — Newtown Square, Pennsylvania

Aronimink is a more northern host than the others on this list, and hosting a PGA Championship in May could bring dicey weather. But that just shows the PGA of America’s level of trust in this golf course. The last time it hosted the best men in the world, Keegan Bradley won the 2018 BMW Championship.

2027: PGA Frisco, East — Frisco, Texas

Haven’t heard of this one? We won’t blame you. This course is bound to host more PGA Championships than just about any other course moving forward. The PGA of America has brought its headquarters to Frisco, Texas, and commissioned Gil Hanse and Beau Welling to design two courses to anchor the site. Thus far, the reviews of the Hanse-designed East course, where the tournament will be held, are quite good.

2028: Olympic Club, Lake — San Francisco, California

This is the only course that might not fit neatly between L.A. Country Club and Royal Liverpool. But in terms of hosting men’s major championships, it’s got both of them beat. Olympic Club has hosted five U.S. Opens, most recently with Webb Simpson’s victory in 2012. Yuka Saso triumphed over Lexi Thompson on the slanted fairways of Olympic Club back at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open.

2029: Baltusrol Golf Club, Lower — Springfield, New Jersey

The last PGA Championship at Baltusrol was a slop-fest, with a water-logged course featuring lift, clean and place conditions. Well, that course has been completely retooled, thanks to Gil Hanse. We got a sneak peek at the result of that restoration at the 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

2030: Congressional Country Club, Blue — Bethesda, Maryland

The recent run of major championship courses should all feel like part of a trend. They’re all old clubs that have gotten a facelift in recent years. Often from Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, or Andrew Green. The 2030 host, Congressional’s Blue course, is no different. Green, the architect who restored 2023 PGA host Oak Hill, has done the same for Congressional. What can we tell you about it? That there’s seven years between now and when it’ll host a major. We’ll let the course settle a little bit. See you in 2030.

2031: The Ocean Course — Kiawah Island, South Carolina

The oceanfront course originally designed by Pete and Alice Dye to host the 1991 Ryder Cup has already hosted two PGA Championships, both of which resulted in thrilling victories for two of the best players of all time. In 2012, Rory McIlroy thumped the field to win his second major by eight shots. Nine years later in 2021, Phil Mickelson made history, becoming the oldest major champion in history, just shy of his 51st birthday.

2034: PGA Frisco, East — Frisco, Texas

We told you to expect to see PGA Frisco early and often in lists of future PGA Championship venues. Before even hosting its first, PGA Frisco’s East course has already been awarded a second.
