If you enjoyed the action from ultra-tough Winged Foot, you’re going to love the USGA’s future lineup of venues for the next seven U.S. Opens, which is filled with a pleasing mix of classic favorites and publicly-accessible standouts.

Check out the list of iconic venues we can look forward to seeing all the way through 2027 — and beyond.

2021: Torrey Pines Golf Course (South Course), San Diego, Calif.

Who can forget Tiger Woods’ incredible playoff victory against Rocco Mediate in 2008? If the USGA’s first trip to Torrey Pines for the U.S. Open back then is any indication of how things will go next year, then lucky us — we have another barn-burner of a championship to look forward to.

2022: The Country Club, Brookline, Mass.

Now a PGA and European Tour veteran, Matthew Fitzpatrick won the U.S. Amateur at Brookline back in 2013, and the course will host the Big Show in two year’s time. The U.S. Open returns to the Country Club for the first time 34 years in 2022 for its fourth time as host of the championship.

2023: The Los Angeles Country Club (North Course), Los Angeles, Calif.

A longtime home of the Hollywood elite, Los Angeles Country Club will become a first-time U.S. Open host in 2023. The recently restored layout hosted a riveting Walker Cup in 2017, and should provide an awesome test for the game’s best players in three year’s time.

2024: Pinehurst No. 2, Pinehurst, N.C.

In 2024, Pinehurst’s No. 2 course will host the U.S. Open for the fourth time, but it will be its first as the USGA’s newly announced anchor site. The golf governing body plans to establish new headquarters at the “Home of American Golf” within the next several years, and Pinehurst will also host Opens in 2029, 2035, 2041 and 2047.

2025: Oakmont Country Club, Oakmont, Pa.

The 2025 U.S. Open will mark the 10th U.S. Open (the most ever) and 13th major championship in Oakmont’s illustrious history. Dustin Johnson was the most recent winner, back in 2016. He’ll be about to turn 41 years old when the Open returns to Oakmont in 2025.

2026: Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, Southampton, N.Y.

Just eight years after hosting the 2018 U.S. Open, Shinnecock will stage the championship for the sixth time in 2026. Brooks Kopeka memorably went back-to-back with his U.S. Open win in 2018. Who will prevail this time?

2027: Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pebble Beach, Calif.

The venerable Pebble Beach will host the U.S. Open for the seventh time in 2027, matching Baltusrol for second-place on the all-time most frequent venue list, behind Oakmont’s ten. Ready to feel old? This year’s Open will mark 27 years since Tiger Woods’ awe-inducing 15-shot victory in 2000, and the Big Cat will be a senior-circuit eligible 51 years-old.

Now for some good news: Thanks the this year’s unprecedented postponement, the next U.S. Open is now only nine months away. Start the countdown!
