Masters week has arrived, with the best players on the planet in Augusta National to compete for the first major of the year. But who is the 2026 Masters favorite? A familiar face sits at the top of the Masters pre-tournament odds.
Here’s what you need to know.
2026 Masters favorite
Heading into the 2026 Masters, the betting favorite is a man who has regularly held that position in recent years: Scottie Scheffler.
Scheffler comes into Augusta with +500 odds-to-win. That puts him well ahead of the second player on the Masters odds list, Jon Rahm (+900). (Rory McIlroy starts the week in fourth.)
Scheffler earns the favorite honors for good reason. He’s the World No. 1. He already has one win this season. And he’s a two-time Masters champion.
Though Scheffler didn’t take home the title in 2025, he did put on the green jacket in 2022 and 2024. That means he was in charge of last year’s Masters Champions Dinner, and he’ll have a front-row seat to McIlroy’s superb Champions Dinner menu this year.
If Scheffler were to capture his third Masters title this week, it would put him in rarefied air in Masters history. It would also give him five total major titles, tying him with McIlroy on the all-time list.
