The PGA Tour has been back since June, but now the schedule gets serious with this week’s 2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, the final PGA Tour event before the first major of the year. Here’s everything you need to know about the tournament.

WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational preview

Tiger Woods won’t be in the field this week at TPC Southwind in Memphis, but just about every other star of the PGA Tour will, including nine of the top 10 players in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Brooks Koepka was World No. 1 when he won the St. Jude last year, but the defending champion has fallen to No. 6 after struggling when the Tour returned to action. This is the perfect week for the four-time major champion to turn his game around, as he’ll go for a third-straight PGA Championship title next week.

The newly-minted No. 1 player will have something to say about that. Jon Rahm ascended to the top spot with his win two weeks ago at the Memorial, the fourth victory of his career. So will the man he toppled, Rory McIlroy, who nearly won the FedEx St. Jude last year.

Bryson DeChambeau (No. 6), Justin Thomas (No. 3), Webb Simpson (No. 4) and Dustin Johnson (No. 5) will also be in the mix this week in Tennessee, setting up a week to remember before major season begins in San Francisco.
