U.S. Open live coverage: How to watch the 2023 U.S. Open on Friday

The 2023 U.S. Open continues on Friday, June 16, with the second round at Los Angeles Country Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 2 of the U.S. Open on TV or online.

Previewing U.S. Open Round 2

In Thursday’s opening round at LACC, calm weather and birdies dominated the scene, along with two big doses of history. Within the span of 30 minutes, Rickie Fowler and Xander Schauffele each broke the record for lowest score in U.S. Open history with sparkling 62s.

That left the pair of California natives knotted at the top of the leaderboard at eight under. But there is plenty of star power joining them on that end of score sheet.

Heading into Friday’s second round, former U.S. open champions Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy find themselves just two and three shots off the lead, respectively.

Peacock will open Round 2 with exclusive steaming coverage starting at 9:40 am. ET on Friday. USA kicks off the Round 2 TV coverage at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the NBC Round 2 telecast at 8 p.m. ET.
