Riviera Country Club, located in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and site of this week’s Genesis Open, has a storied history that includes hosting four major championships and, most recently, the 2017 U.S. Amateur.
The PGA Tour has made Riviera an annual stop since 1973, and the George C. Thomas/William P. Bell design has long been an inspiration for golf course architecture aficionados.
