This week the PGA Tour heads to Jack Nicklaus’ Muirfield Village for the 2022 Memorial Tournament, and according to the Memorial betting odds via BetMGM, two major champion superstars lead the way as favorites. Here’s what you need to know.

2022 Memorial Tournament odds: This week’s favorites

Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm are coming off major disappointments, with an emphasis on major. Both star players went into the PGA Championship two weeks ago with high hopes, and high chances, of taking home some major hardware.

Surprisingly, it didn’t turn out well for Rory and Jon. Rahm finished T48 at six over, while McIlroy threatened a victory before a Saturday 74 knocked him out of the running. Now they both head to the Memorial to try and turn things around, and they’ll do so with matching odds-to-win of +1000.

But pulling off a win will be a tough task against such a strong field, which also features Xander Schauffele (+1600), defending champion Patrick Cantlay (+1600), Cameron Smith (+2000) and Jordan Spieth (+2000) to name just a few.

2022 Memorial Tournament odds: Long shot of the week

For our long shot of the week, may we direct your attention to the 27-year-old pro from Mission Viejo, Calif., who finds himself in the bottom half of odds to win the Memorial: Beau Hossler. At +20000, Hossler seems like a true long shot, and he is by most definitions. But if you’re looking to take some risk on your golf bets this week, here’s why Beau might be your man.

Hossler has missed eight cuts in 17 events this season, but he’s contended to win more than that stat shows. He finished third at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and T4 at the Valero Texas Open. Last week at Colonial, Hossler held a share of the 36-hole lead before falling to a T21 on the weekend.

He’s played some quality golf this season, and he’s well overdue for his maiden PGA Tour victory. Should you entrust $100 on Beau to win this week and he pulls it off, you’ll walk away with $20,000.
