Tiger Woods posts another cryptic tweet. This time with a big hint

Tiger Woods posted his second cryptic tweet of the week.

In case you haven’t heard, Tiger Woods is set to make an announcement Monday, and he just dropped a big hint about what it is.

Woods is set to host the Genesis Invitational next week at Riviera and he also recently announced he will be playing in the event as well, marking his first PGA Tour start since April.

But perhaps the biggest question is what logo the 15-time major champion will wear on his hat, shirt and glove. The tournament host posted a cryptic tweet Saturday — his second of the week — with the biggest hint yet to his future plans.

Woods’ Saturday tweet read, “A new day rises. 2.12.24,” accompanied by an image of a heavily shadowed Woods, clad in his typical Sunday attire of a red shirt, black pants and black hat.

The logo on his hat was cropped out and so too was the one that usually adorns the chest of his polo. That’s important because Woods and longtime apparel partner Nike announced a parting of ways last month.

However, what wasn’t cropped out was Woods’ left hand and glove, which throughout the entirety of his professional career has displayed the Nike Swoosh. However, the glove Woods sports in the photo just shows off the edge of a new logo.

The logo appears to match images from a trademark filing by TaylorMade, Woods’ club manufacturer, that circulated last month after news of Woods’ and Nikes’ split. As GOLF’s Josh Sens recently reported, trademark applications for a Sunday Red brand have already been submitted to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) by TaylorMade Lifestyle Ventures LLC.

Woods then confirmed an announcement coming Monday with the tweet last Tuesday that read simply, “The vision remains the same. 2.12.24,” along with a close-up of Woods’ face.

He later announced his intent to tee it up at the Genesis, returning to the PGA Tour for the first time since ankle surgery in April following a WD from the Masters.

With his spot in the field already announced and now his tweet featuring what appears to be a logo from the recent TradeMark filings, it all but confirms Woods will debut the Sunday Red brand next week at the Genesis.

However, we’ll have to wait until Monday to find out for sure.
