The 2020 Olympics field is set (although it’s happening in 2021) and the United States will have more golfers represented than any other nation during this year’s Games. Two more than any other nation, to be exact.

America will be represented by Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele and Bryson DeChambeau on the men’s side, and Nelly Korda, Danielle Kang, Lexi Thompson and Jessica Korda on the women’s side. Should there be some red, white and blue on golf’s podium in early August? Yes, there should be. But we will have to wait and see!

South Korea is also well-represented with Sungjae Im and Si Woo Kim on the men’s side (two players who are not playing in the British Open so they can focus on the Olympics) and by Jin Young Ko, Inbee Park, Sei Young Kim and Hyo-Joo Kim on the women’s side.

While the format of the Olympics draws a unique field to Japan, there are still plenty of headliners that will be competing for medals at Kasumigaseki Country Club. U.S. Open champion Jon Rahm and Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama will look to add to their impressive seasons at the Games. So will Yuka Saso and Patty Tavatanakit, who each won a major earlier this year.
