The best putters in the world (not already on the PGA Tour) will converge upon the Las Vegas Strip for the largest putting tournament ever in March 2017.
The event, run by the Major Series of Putting, will take place near Planet Hollywood on a 20,000 square foot course created by Jack Nicklaus Design at 110 E. Harmon Avenue. The course will encompass 18 holes of artificial turf in a par-36 format. It’s designed for a riveting fan experience.
“Our vision is to design a sports venue where spectators will have clear views of all 18 holes from every seat in the house,” said Jeff Keas, senior principal at Populous, the sports architecture firm tasked with building the venue. “Our goal is to create an atmosphere that is welcoming to professional and amateur golfers alike.”
The event is set to start on March 10 with the “All Pro Championship” as the main event, in which the winner of a 210-person field will claim $62,000 as the grand prize. For more information on the event, check out the MSOP website.
