The 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will be decided on Sunday at Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco, with the winner earning a major title and a big payday.
The third major of the year comes with a $12 million purse, which ties the U.S. Women’s Open for the largest in women’s golf history.
“I’ve always said that whenever a company steps up and supports us and gives us a stage, I mean, there is so much gratitude that we have towards them,” world No. 1 Nelly Korda said of the purse this week. “We can’t thank KPMG and PGA of America enough for giving us this stage and continuously elevating women’s golf.”
The $12 million purse is an increase from the $10.4 million purse for last year’s event, which was won by Amy Yang at Sahalee. This year, the winner will take home $1.8 million, which was the size of the total purse for this championship in 2006. All players who did not make the cut this week receive $4,000.
Two-time major winner Minjee Lee enters Sunday with a four-shot lead over world No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul, but will have to conquer the blustery winds and grueling Texas heat to leave Frisco with her third career major.
