If you’re a golf fan and your favorite NFL team’s playoff hopes are all but over, you might need another team to get behind for the postseason. And Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is making a pitch to golfers everywhere.
Allen is having a fanatic season in his third year with Buffalo, and the Bills recently clinched the AFC East title for the first time since 1995. To show their gratitude to the guys up front keeping them safe all season, quarterbacks often give their trusty linemen gifts around the holidays, and Allen didn’t disappoint this year.
According to the Buffalo News, Allen, an avid golfer, gifted his linemen custom-fit Callaway Mavrik woods and irons, an Odyssey putter and an Ogio golf bag decked out in Bills colors. The bags were also stocked with personalized golf balls. And if any of his linemen are new to the game, Allen covered that, too. He got them all lessons at Crag Burn, a private club just outside of Buffalo.

Shop Now“Obviously, gifts are extremely hard to buy for guys that have basically everything already,” Allen told the Buffalo News. “I talked to them, and none of them had their own custom golf clubs, so it’s something that many of these guys maybe haven’t even done yet. Giving them the opportunity to go out and expand their horizons, try something new and just hang out on the golf course and get away from football for a little bit in the offseason, it’s something I love doing and hopefully one or two of them — or maybe even all of them, pick the game up and start to enjoy it as much as I do.”
According to the Buffalo News, Allen’s previous holiday gifts to his linemen were a Traeger grill and an iPad. Solid gifts, yes. But our biased opinion is that he saved his best for Year 3.
