Most golfers know of Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, even if they haven’t seen it in person. But now, for those who haven’t stepped on property, comes the next best thing: Bandon Dunes brought to life through your living room TV.

The 120th U.S. Amateur Championship began on Monday at golf mecca Bandon Dunes in Bandon, Ore., and it runs until a champion is crowned on Sunday evening. The good news for viewers at home is that the TV broadcast begins on Wednesday night for the first of five consecutive days of prime time coverage.

Monday and Tuesday consisted of the 36-hole stroke-play portion of the event (which was not televised), and match play begins on Wednesday with the Round of 64. The TV broadcast is 7-9 p.m. (ET) Wednesday to Friday and 7-10 p.m. on the weekend. Golf Channel will carry all of the action.

The first two days were played on the Bandon Trails and Bandon Dunes courses, and all of match play will be on Bandon Dunes, which was the first course built on the property. The resort also has Pacific Dunes, Old Macdonald and the newly opened Sheep Ranch. There’s also a 13-hole par-3 course called the Bandon Preserve.

Dan Hicks will serve as the broadcast’s play-by-play host with Justin Leonard as an analyst. Steve Burkowski will handle analysis and interviews, and Notah Begay and Jim “Bones” Mackay will serve as on-course reporters.

Thirty-one countries were represented in this year’s field of 264 players and there were 18 past USGA champions entered. The 2019 U.S. Amateur winner, Andy Ogletree, shot 74-72 the first two days and did not advance to the match-play portion.
