This week at the 2020 PNC Championship, golf fans will be treated to a parent-child exhibition event featuring, among others, Tiger Woods and his son Charlie Woods. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
PNC Championship preview
Typically the PNC Championship, formally known as the Father-Son Challenge, receives only a modest amount of attention. But that all changes this year. For the first time, Tiger Woods and his 11-year-old son Charlie will compete together in a tournament on live TV when they suit up for the event.

Charlie will be the youngest competitor in the event’s history, but he’s already starting to show off some serious golf skill. Charlie competes in junior events, sometimes with his dad as caddie. Recently, cameras caught Charlie’s sweet swing as he practiced alongside Tiger on the range.
World No. 3 Justin Thomas is also in the field, playing alongside his father Mike Thomas. Earlier this month, Thomas, who tees it up with Charlie and Tiger in South Florida occasionally, admitted that Charlie is quite competitive and “just always wants to beat me, it doesn’t matter what it is.” So the Woods-Thomas rivalry will be another “tournament within a tournament” to follow.
But they won’t be the only big-name players in attendance. All pro competitors have either won a major or Players Championship, including Gary Player, Greg Norman, Annika Sorenstam and more. The format will be a scramble, and the tournament will be played at the Grande Lakes Orlando course at the Ritz-Cartlon Golf Club.
