The 2023 U.S. Women’s Open is set for a thrilling finish Sunday, with Japan’s Nasa Hataoka leads the LPGA’s most lucrative major by one shot.

The 24-year-old is not unfamilar with U.S. Open pressure, having lost in an aggregate playoff at the 2021 U.S. Women’s Open to Yuka Sasso. That wasn’t the first time the six-time LPGA winner has been in major contention before either, also losing a playoff at the 2018 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

She was nearly flawless at Pebble Beach Saturday, making six birdies against no bogeys for 66 and the low round of the championship so far.
