WATCH: Take a behind-the-scenes tour of IMG Academy’s epic golf facility

Established in 1968 and now encompassing over 600 acres in Bradenton, Fla., the IMG Academy has made a name for itself as a premier academic and athletic institution for world-class athletes in grades 6-12 — especially when it comes to golf.

There are 1,100+ total students enrolled and 140+ students in the golf program specifically. A student athlete’s daily schedule is generally comprised of four hours of school and four hours of sport. For golfers, the on-campus amenities are numerous. Students can utilize several putting greens, short-game areas, and even an indoor center, complete with a hitting bay equipped with a Trackman launch monitor, a SAM PuttLab, and the latest clubfitting equipment. The practice area is centrally located on campus, steps away from students’ dorms and dining facilities.

The IMG Academy also has an impressive record when it comes to placing students in collegiate programs: 156 have gone on to D1 programs since 2012. And no other golf academy has won as many junior tournaments, generated as many college scholarships, or put as many players on professional tours as IMG. Notable alumni include Emiliano Grillo, CT Pan, Paula Creamer, and Jessica and Nelly Korda. For more information, visit the academy’s website, or check out the video above.
