The first event of the Florida Swing concludes Sunday as the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches will contest its final round at PGA National.

Through the 54-hole mark, two names are tied atop the leaderboard: Shane Lowry and Austin Smotherman. For Lowry, a win would represent his fourth overall PGA Tour victory and first in almost two years. Smotherman, on the other hand, is seeking his first Tour victory after a two-win campaign last season on the Korn Ferry Tour.

But surviving the Bear Trap and coming out on top won’t be easy. As the field readies for the final round in south Florida, nine players sit within five shots of the duo’s 13-under lead, including past Tour winners such as Nico Echavarria, Joel Dahmen, Keith Mitchell and Patton Kizzire.

Lowry and Smotherman are set to tee off in the final pairing at 1:45 p.m. ET, while Echavarria and Taylor Moore will go off in the penultimate pairing 10 minutes prior — and each will have their eyes on the winner’s check of $1.72 million.
