Charles Schwab Challenge Subpar picks: Favorite bets for Colonial

Daniel Berger has won at Colonial Country Club before. Subpar podcast co-host Colt Knost is betting he can do that again — or at least get close.

Berger to top 20 (+115) at this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas, is Knost’s Fanatics Sportsbook pick of the week.

“Give me Daniel Berger to top 20,” Knost said. “The man has been playing great, working with Mark Blackburn, his game is in really good shape. He loves this place and he’s won here before, why not again?”

Berger won at Colonial in 2020. He was T45 at the tournament last year.

Subpar co-host Drew Stoltz picked J.T. Poston to top 20 (+180) for his pick of the week.

“How about a guy who just finished top five at the PGA Championship, which is a big yard,” Stoltz said. “And when I think of this guy I don’t necessarily think that suits him — he can play them, of course — but I prefer a place like this week where it’s more about accuracy off the tee and great putting. I feel very good about this.”

Scottie Scheffler, fresh off his PGA Championship victory and third major title, headlines the field at the Charles Schwab Challenge and is the massive betting favorite. He’s +240 to win, with Berger (+2000) having the second-best odds to win. Jordan Spieth is +2200 to win.
