Anyone who watched Bryson DeChambeau’s incredible 12-under 60 on Friday likely assumed things couldn’t get any better for the 27-year-old, short of making that final birdie putt for a 59.

But Bryson might just top himself in Saturday’s third round at the 2021 BMW Championship.

Teeing off in the final pairing at 12:55 p.m. ET alongside Jon Rahm and Patrick Cantlay, DeChambeau got off to a ho-hum start, making par at the 1st, and following it with another par at the par-5 2nd. Things changed quickly from there.

Bryson stuck his approach at the par-3 3rd, leading to his first birdie of the day. At the 4th, another par-5, he paired a 336-yard drive with a 247-yard approach to 25 feet, then drained the ensuing putt for an eagle.

Suddenly, he was three under through 4. And his most outstanding feat was yet to come.

At Cave Valley GC’s short par-4 5th, DeChambeau drove the green with a sky-high 307-yard shot. Unfortunately, it left a lengthy 53-footer for eagle. No matter, Bryson drained that one, too, giving himself back-to-back eagles, and moving him to five under through 5. Check it out for yourself below.

Bryson’s torrid stretch moved him to 21 under for the tournament early on Saturday, widening his lead to three at that point.
