Billy Horschel Hits 5-Iron 134 Yards in Crazy Wind, Celebrates Birdie in Backwards Hat

January 31, 2016

To truly understand the weather conditions at Torrey Pines for the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open, look no further than a couple of tweets from the PGA Tour.

Due to extremely high winds — about 30 mph — tee times were moved up to try and beat the storm, although as of this writing play is delayed.

But how bad is it? Here are two tweets that show you. First, watch Billy Horschel — in a backwards hat! — hit a 5-iron 134 yards on the par-3 third hole. The hole was playing 147 yards and he came up short of the green.

Next, watch the wind blow Colt Knost’s birdie putt into the hole, although Horschel’s celebration might be even better.

You can see both tweets below.
