The 2026 Valero Texas Open gets underway Thursday morning with the first round at TPC San Antonio. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament on Thursday, including full Valero Texas Open TV coverage, streaming details and Round 1 tee times.

How to watch Valero Texas Open on Thursday

The last chance for players to get into the 2026 Masters gets started Thursday morning at TPC San Antonio. Those PGA Tour pros in the field who are not qualified for next week’s major at Augusta National have one way to get there. The winner of this week’s Valero Texas Open automatically earns a spot in the Masers field.

That’s especially important for star Masters veterans in the field like Rickie Fowler. Though he’s had a strong start to the season (39th in the FedEx Cup standings), he’s not in the top 50 of the OWGR, and he hasn’t won a Tour event since 2023.

Fowler needs to change that this week if he wants to play the first major of the year. And his campaign gets started on Thursday morning at 9:06 a.m. ET.

You can watch the first round of the Valero Texas Open on TV via Golf Channel beginning on Thursday at 4 p.m. ET. PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will provide exclusive streaming coverage starting at 8:15 a.m. ET on Thursday, as well as featured group and featured hole coverage all day long.
