The first TGL season comes to an end on Tuesday, March 25, with the final set of matches between New York Golf Club and Atlanta Drive at the SoFi Center. But the PGA Tour stars involved with TGL aren’t just playing for fun. There’s serious money on the line. Here’s everything you need to know about the TGL payout for every team, including full TGL purse info.
How TGL payouts work
Six TGL teams started the season back in January, with each team playing five matches in order to determine the four teams that would make the playoffs. But unlike on the PGA Tour, TGL events don’t have separate purses and payouts. Instead, teams will be paid once at the end of the playoffs based on where they finish in the standings.
What’s it like inside TGL’s SoFi Center? A tech-lover’s dream
For example, Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club and Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common team finished the regular season in fifth and sixth, respectively. That means they did not qualify for the playoffs and their positions in the standings are final.
But Rory, Tiger and their teammates still got paid. For finishing fifth, Jupiter earned a total of $1.75 million, with $437,500 going to each player. Boston Common finished last and earned $1.5 million.
Whichever team wins the finals between New York and Atlanta on Tuesday night will earn $9 million total ($2.25 million per player), with the runner-up receiving $4.5 million. For reference, Rory McIlroy earned $4.5 million for his win at the 2025 Players Championship.
