The 2025 Texas Children’s Houston Open goes down this week at Memorial Park Golf Course, and the world’s two top-ranked golfers are betting favorites. Here is everything you need to know about the Texas Children’s Houston Open odds and other betting favorites to start the week.
Texas Children’s Houston Open betting favorites
Last season, Scottie Scheffler played five PGA Tour tournaments in March and April — and won four of them. During that particular historic stretch, the Texas Children’s Houston Open was the only event he didn’t win, but he still managed a T2 finish.
This year, Scheffler is still No. 1, and he’s installed as the prohibitive betting favorite to win his home-state event at +330 odds to win.
He’s closely followed by the player who is just behind him in the world ranking: Rory McIlroy. McIlroy already has two big wins this season, including at the Players Championship earlier this month. He starts the week at +700 odds to win.
After those two, the odds drop off drastically. Aaron Rai is third in pre-tournament betting odds at +2800 odds to win. Davis Thompson and J.J. Spaun, who lost the Players Championship in a playoff, are tied for fourth at +3250.
