The 2025 Players Championship, the biggest PGA Tour event of the season, kicks off this week at TPC Sawgrass, and last year’s winner is the betting favorite. Here is everything you need to know about the Players Championship odds and other betting favorites to start the week.
The betting favorites
As has been the case in every event he’s played this season, World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is the betting favorite at the Players, coming into the week with +500 odds to win.
In four starts, Scheffler has two top-10 finshes and one T11, which came at last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. He’s also the two-time defending champion, having triumphed at Sawgrass in 2023 and 2024.
Positioned is second place to start the week is World No. 2 Rory McIlroy (+1000). McIlroy has one big win on the season already and is in top form heading into the Players.
Filling out the top five in betting favorites for the Players are Collin Morikawa (+1600), Ludvig Aberg (+1600) and Justin Thomas (+2000).
