Rory McIlroy is back. At least, it certainly seems that way at the Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club. Here’s what you need to know for Sunday.

After taking two weeks off, McIlroy arrived in Scotland feeling refreshed and believing that his post-Masters lull was finally ending.

He opened with a 68 and then backed it up with rounds of 65 and 66 to share the clubhouse lead with Chris Gotterup at 11 under through 54 holes.

“It’s my first realistic chance to win after the Masters, and I’ve had a great season,” McIlroy said on Saturday after his round.” I won at Pebble. I won the Players. I said this, when you do something that you’ve been dreaming your whole life to do, it was a huge moment in my life, my career. I think I just needed that little bit of time. And to be back here for the last couple of weeks, and feel like I could actually digest all of it, I feel like I came to this tournament with renewed enthusiasm and excitement for the rest of the year.”

Due to expected fog rolling off the North Sea, tee times have been adjusted on Sunday to threesomes going off split tees.

Rory McIlroy shines, Chris Gotterup ties record

McIlroy and Gotterup will go off at 8:40 a.m. ET alongside Wyndham Clark. Clark is one of four players at 9 under par, including Matt Fitzpatrick, Jake Knapp and Marco Penge.
