Featured tee time for Round 2
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler made the trip to Scotland this week to try and win his fourth PGA Tour event of the year. But he’s also here to get in final preparation for the season’s final major, the 2025 Open Championship, set for next week at Royal Portrush.
After his opening round, he should be happy on both counts.
Scottie Scheffler sinks 31-foot eagle putt to open Genesis Scottish Open
Scheffler drained a long eagle putt at 10 to start his day, eventually settling in to finish with a three-under 67. That will leave him a few shots off the lead heading into Friday’s second round. Scheffler’s group switches to a 1st-tee start in the later wave on Friday.
Scheffler will start Round 2 at 8:43 a.m. ET alongside Adam Scott and defending champion Robert MacIntyre.
