Featured tee time for Round 2
Two-time PGA champion Justin Thomas isn’t playing the Zozo to secure Tour status, as his place is secure within the FedEx Cup’s Top 50. But he is trying to build some momentum for next season. So far so good.
While you were sleeping, Thomas made five birdies and one bogey at Narashino CC to shoot a four-under 66 in the opening round. That left him just three strokes off the early lead.

Thomas will tee off for the second round Thursday night at 9:35 p.m. ET alongside Hideki Matsuyama and Si Woo Kim.
