The 2024 Valero Texas Open gets underway Thursday morning with the opening round at TPC San Antonio. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online, including complete Valero Texas Open TV coverage.

Two big names are headlining the field at this week’s Valero Texas Open: Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth.

McIlroy is ranked No. 2 in the world, but he hasn’t won a PGA Tour event in 2024. Spieth has three major championship victories to his name, but he’s far from that world-beating form now.

Both players are looking to kickstart their seasons and get ready for the Masters with a big week in San Antonio, and it all gets started on Thursday.

You can watch the first round of the Valero Texas Open on TV via Golf Channel beginning at 4 p.m. ET on Thursday. ESPN+ will offer exclusive early coverage and featured group coverage online kicking off at 8:15 a.m. ET. In addition, Peacock will provide a live simulcast of Golf Channel’s coverage.
